About the instructor:
Berkeley artist, Caroline Powell, is the owner and designer behind Punch Color Studio, an online shop selling handmade punch needle art, home goods and supplies. What started out as a pastime to help relieve stress and anxiety, turned into this small but growing business. Caroline has a background in textiles from the Savannah College of Art & Design and currently works as an Assistant Art Director for Gap Inc. Caroline finds inspiration in nature and lets the process of punch needling inform her designs. She considers punch needling a very ever-changing form of art due to its forgiving nature. She enjoys using bold colors and abstract shapes. Caroline hopes to inspire others to explore their creativity through this and other fiber arts.
